Welcome to Mindful Actors: a monthly workshop series exploring mindset, emotional resiliency and the tools we need to thrive as actors.  

Mindfulness is the ability to pay attention to the present moment, on purpose and non-judgmentally. When we’re acting, this comes naturally. We take risks, we’re in our bodies, we’re curious and excited and let ourselves play.

But for many actors, this state of being stops when the cameras stop rolling or they step off stage. In “real life”, as well as in the business of acting, we:

  • Are filled with self-criticism and doubt.

  • Accommodate and people-please.

  • Live in scarcity and comparison.

  • Feel overwhelmed by anxiety and expectations.

Not only does this limit our ability to live joyful lives, it also holds us back from being daring and powerful in our careers.

In this workshop series, we’ll explore tools and topics that take the experience of Mindful Embodiment into our real lives, so we can feel courageous, authentic, and worthy as we pursue our goals.

This is not an acting class, or even a business-of-acting class. It’s a space to explore the LIFE of an actor, and how to create well-being, so we can flourish in our lives and our work.

Regulating emotions + the nervous system
