Here’s what I know:
I don't have to be perfect to be powerful.
And I believe that’s true for you too.
I used to think that if I could just get it all right, I would finally be happy. The right haircut. The right body. The right acting job. The right partner. I wanted to be of service through my art, and yet I continuosly postponed my contributions to some imagined future when I was “better”. I didn’t trust myself, so I grasped for things outside of me to feel safe and solid. I transformed myself for each new person in my life. I wanted so badly to be acknowledged, to belong, and to make a difference in the world. But no matter how close to perfect I got, or how much “success” I achieved, I still felt disconnected from my body and my emotions, paralyzed by perfectionism and my inner critic, and completely separated from my intuition and personal power.
It took many years of exploration, study and self-discovery before I accepted that if I wanted a meaningful and fulfilling life, I had to start with self-compassion and a grounded connection to my inner wisdom. As I began to incorporate eastern wisdom traditions like meditation, yoga and acupuncture, as well as the work of somatic awareness, mindful self-compassion and positive psychology, things began to shift. I realized:
I am resilient, grounded and wise at my core.
It is possible to live an unpredictable, creative life and still feel stable on the inside.
My body is the most direct route to my intuition.
I am allowed to make mistakes.
Self-compassion is a far greater motivator than self-criticism.
I can feel vulnerable and still take courageous action.
It’s okay to take in the good, feel happiness, and enjoy my life.
It is my calling and honor to assist others on this journey of self-acceptance and transformation, so that they can step into their own power, joy and highest service in the world.

You might not know that…
- I grew up overseas, the child of two international school teachers. I went to elementary school in Japan and Taiwan, and graduated high school in a class of 9 in Bandung, Indonesia.
- I’ve been an actress for 12 years. Although I’ve found a new form of service, I still passionately believe in the power of art and love taking acting jobs when I can.
- My favorite past-times are walking around the lake by my house in Portland, Oregon, taking workshops and trainings, snuggling my dog, snuggling my husband, and tickle-attacking my 4 yr old niece.
